Terms of Service.

Welcome to questry. We've kept the legal jargon to a minimum. By creating an account or using the directory, you agree to these rules. If you don't, please don't use it.

§01

Who runs questry

questry is a self-funded project operated by Max Kukla, a sole trader registered in the Czech Republic. These terms are an agreement between you and that operator.

  • Operator: Max Kukla
  • IČO: 10981888
  • Registered seat: Jungmannova 157, 506 01 Jičín, Czechia
  • Registry: Czech Trade Register (živnostenský rejstřík)
  • Contact: hello@questry.app
§02

Acceptance

By signing up or using questry you agree to these terms. We may update them as the platform grows — if we make material changes, we'll flag them on this page and inside the app. Continuing to use questry after a change means you accept the new version.

§03

Who can use questry

Because of EU privacy law (GDPR), you must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm you meet that age. If we find out an account belongs to someone under 16, we have to delete it.

§04

Invite-only access

questry is invite-only. Invite codes are personal — don't post them publicly, don't sell them, don't pass them around to strangers. They're tied to your trust on the platform.

We may revoke access if a code is misused, if you break community guidelines, or if your account is used to harm others.

§05

Your content

You own what you post — your vouches, warnings, submissions, photos, notes. By posting it you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, display, store, and moderate it so the directory actually works. This license ends when you delete the content, except for anonymised aggregates kept for the integrity of the directory. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.

§06

Acceptable use

We built questry to help queer people find safer spaces. Don't ruin it. You agree not to:

  • Doxx, out, harass, or threaten anyone — on or off the platform.
  • Post sexual content involving minors (CSAM). Zero tolerance, no exceptions.
  • Post illegal content, hate speech, or incitement to violence.
  • Use questry to track, surveil, or build lists of individuals.
  • Impersonate other people, venues, or organisations.
  • Spam, scrape without permission, or try to break the platform.
  • Abuse the warning / avoid tools to attack venues or people you have a personal grievance with.

Break these rules and we'll suspend or wipe your account, usually without warning.

§07

Availability & changes

questry is a small, self-funded project. We try to keep it running smoothly, but the service is provided as-is and as-available.

We don't guarantee 100% uptime, and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or shut down parts of the service (or the whole thing). If a major shutdown ever happens, we'll do our best to give you a heads-up so you can export your data.

§08

Liability

questry is a directory of community input — vouches, warnings, notes from other people. It is not a professional safety audit. Always use your own judgement when visiting a space. To the maximum extent permitted by Czech and EU law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from your use of the platform.

§10

Termination

You can delete your account anytime from your profile — no waiting period, no guilt trips. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or community guidelines. On deletion, your public community contributions (vouches, warnings, submissions) may remain in anonymised form so the directory stays useful for everyone else.

§11

Severability

If a court finds any part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, that part is removed or modified, and the rest stays in full force.

§12

Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic and applicable EU regulations. Disputes are handled by the competent Czech courts. If you're an EU consumer, you can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, or contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, coi.cz) for out-of-court resolution.
